Spring Break Journal - Day 1 Monday

Today was our first official day of Spring Break.  Ryan has been out of school since Wednesday of last week but today was our first full day together...alone...with nothing specific planned. It is kind of nice to have a little break from our usual schedule.  Today we slept in until almost 7...it was heaven!  Even the kids slept until 7:08.....I know because Ian is very specific about the time he wakes up every morning.  We headed over to Pump It Up Jr. early, we were actually the first ones there.  The boys had a blast running around and playing with each other.  It is great to see how good Ryan is with other kids now.  He is really a sweet friend to other children.  Here is a picture of Ian...he was having fun despite the look on his face.

We left early afternoon as they stopped letting kids in it was SO busy.  There were over 70 kids there so it was the perfect time for a change of scenery.  
The boys wanted to go to the mall and visit the Easter bunny and have lunch so that is what we did.  They enjoyed telling the Easter bunny what they wanted in their Easter baskets.  I tried to explain it wasn't like Santa and Christmas but they didn't care.  They figured they better get their requests in just in case.  We had lunch at Sonic and they rode some of the little rides up in the food court.

After our busy day we went home and they had some down time watching a movie and then they played outside until it started to rain.  Looking forward to another fun day tomorrow
