Construction Zone

Our house has been a construction zone for the last month.  We are having the attic converted to Greg's new office space and we had a new roof put on.  Not a day to soon as it has been pouring down rain the last several days.  Here is a shot of the new roof, it is a composite material and is supposed to last for 50 years.  The old roof was wood shake and in pretty bad shape.

The roof is basically finished but the attic is another story.   The project was supposed to take about a week and it is going on three so we are hoping it will be done sometime after Thanksgiving.  I must admit, I am a little bit jealous of the space....now I want a cool spot for all my stuff too :-)  It is going to be awesome when it is finished.  The best part is it has a James Bond-like entrance through our closet which will be perfect for sneaking away. Here are a few current pictures from today.

The skylight is really cool and adds a lot of light which will help keep it bright during the dreary winter months.
