A Day at the Beach

The weather looked beautiful this morning when we woke up, so instead of taking the boys to their first movie, we decided to head to Cannon Beach. It was a beautiful drive over and an amazing day together. The sun was shining and the wind was blowing! Ryan and Ian played on the beach in the sand forever, mostly digging. Greg helped them dig some holes and play in the water. By water I mean the little stream coming off the ocean. Ryan kept saying Ocean when he would go in the water and I as like....well kinda! After that we headed to Bill's Tavern for lunch and a sampler of beers (for Greg and me :-) We were all starving so after a record breaking inhalation of food, we took the boys for an exciting first....ice cream cones. They have had ice cream, but not in a cone and not one each. Such a BIG day. After that we played at the Cannon Beach playground for about 1/2 an hour then headed home with two exhausted kids and one exhausted parent....me, Greg doesn't seem to ever run out of energy!!It was one of the best days ever and I cannot wait to go back.
