What We've Been Up To....

This week has been busy!  The boys started a class at the Garden Home Rec Center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  They are having a blast there and enjoying having Katrina (Ryan's therapist) in the classroom with them.  I was able to go to Xtend Barre on Tuesday night with Pav and then to dinner.  It is so  fun sharing this new work out routine with a friend!  On Wednesday we went to John's Pizza and they had a great time riding the rides (see picture above)!  We also took Ian to the allergist/dermatologist.  He has had some bad skin rashes and his doctor said it was just eczema but I knew it was something else. They did a full skin panel to test for allergies (see picture above) and as you can see he was allergist to grass.  That isn't what was causing his rash, but it was nice to know that for future reference.  His rash was however, infected so he is now on antibiotics and a prescription cream.  This should hopefully clear it up.  The doctor also suggested trying a new moisturizer for him (we have been using Cetaphil) so we switched to CeraVe and I love it already.  I think we are going to switch for the whole family.  Other then that we have just been busy with Ryan's therapy which is everyday.  We have a meeting today with his lead therapist to discuss our education plans for the fall.  I was 90% set on Small Friends again, but we may be switching Ryan to something that is more suitable for him.  Just when I think I have everything figured out, something changes:-)  We are heading to Bend for a 5 day weekend.  Looking forward to some sun and pool time!

Happy Father's Day

It is hard to know everything that goes into being a GREAT father.  I am so blessed to have such an incredible husband and father to our children.  In my mind being a father encompasses so many things. One of the best things about Greg is that he doesn't wimp out when the going gets tough (and with two almost four year old twin boys that happens quite frequently).  He is always there for Ryan, Ian and me to help and love us through everything.  He also has a tremendous amount of energy which I admire so much.  Patience is a virtue and that statement has never been more true then when you are a parent.  Greg has incredible amounts of patience for the wining and crying and fighting that happen on an hourly basis around here.  One of the biggest things that I admire about Greg's fathering is his ability to discipline the kids in a loving and caring way.  Life is crazy with kids and Greg has embraced every moment of it!  We all love you so much Greg and wish you the most wonderful Father's Day!  Thank you for all the love you give to us everyday.

Working at the carwash

In my attempt to add in some art projects this summer I came up with what I thought would be a really fun one.  I cut up sponges into different shapes (I even tried to make one look like a train) and thought the boys could dip them in paint and then sponge paint onto colored paper.  They quickly decided to change the project completely.  Their idea was to paint cars and then wash them off with the sponges.  All the while we sang "workin' at the carwash".  It was super fun and SUPER messy!  It occupied them for over 2 hours!

OMSI

We don't go downtown to OMSI very often, but when we do, the kids spend hours there!  It is such a fun place.  This is a picture of Ryan playing with the mini crane.  He is loading some boxes onto his truck.  Such concentration!  We had a really fun day.

While the parents are away.....

While we enjoyed our afternoon of wine tasting on Memorial Day, the boys enjoyed some time at the playground with Molly (their babysitter). She got some great pictures of them playing!  They were worn out tht evening when we got home!
