10 Year Anniversary

Greg and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary yesterday. I was thinking back to our wedding day and what I remember the most is how beautiful the weather was 10 years ago on May 12th.....much different then the weather lately. We were surrounded by friends and family and it was truly a magical day.

We sat down to a nice dinner last night (after the kiddos went to bed) and talked about the good ole days. Vacations, Dinners Out, Parties with Friends and much more. Our wedding and honeymoon were amazing and the last few years have definitely had their ups and downs. We love being parents , but to say it is a lot of work is an understatement. Especially dealing with 2 children both with learning/speech issues. We both agreed that we finally feel like we are getting a little bit of our old life back. We are starting to carve out time for each other again and it has been really nice. We are going to Hawaii for 5 nights the end of the month to continue the celebration and have kind of a second honeymoon. We were both laughing talking about the original 10 year anniversary gift I said I wanted when we were first married (a huge diamond ring) and the gift I wanted this year (a new washer and dryer). Ha ha, oh how things change :-) I LOVE my washer and dryer and can definitely wait another 10 years for the huge ring! I am so thankful for our family and friends who have supported us through everything!

May Already

Here are some pictures from our date night. It was so much fun. This has been a CRAZY busy week and this weekend has been very fun! John and Sheryl Snow are here visiting with their 2 kiddos, Avery and Tyler. It has been great catching up with them and seeing the kids all playing together. The kids are finally at the age where they can play well together with only some minor fighting over toys! Sheryl and I had a wonderful girls day yesterday with pedicures and latte's in the morning, followed by shopping and lunch. AHHHH heaven!! Saturday evening we had a wonderful babysitter come and watch the 4 kids so we could go out to Pope House and then Gruner for dinner. What a FUN night. Today has been beautiful, the sun is shining and it is borderline hot outside :-) Dare we say that summer is coming!! The guys went golfing this morning and Sheryl and I have been having fun entertaining the kids. I cannot believe it is May already, although I must admit I am SUPER excited for summer to get here. We are sick of being stuck inside while it is cold and raining.
